Steel City Landscape offers an all-encompassing full landscape maintenance program, which covers everything from spring/fall cleanups, lawn and bed maintenance, edging and mulching, and so much more! After a quote is requested, one of our representatives will make an initial site visit, where they will evaluate your landscaping needs, and discuss all available services. Then we will provide you with a detailed proposal that outlines all the services we will provide throughout the landscaping season. For your convenience, all pricing is combined into one yearly amount, which is then billed to you, the customer, in 10 equal monthly installments. This is great for those who are on a budget, as it spreads the cost out evenly over the season, and you will never have any surprises when it comes to your monthly bill.

I. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS AND SCOPE OF WORK

The intent of this Agreement is for Steel City Landscape to provide the maintenance, care and groundskeeping of all exterior landscaped areas of your property. All services described herein are designed to promote healthy growth and create a quality landscape environment. Reasonable care will be used in completing all tasks within this Agreement, as a qualified representative of the

Contractor will be present to provide supervision and to ensure safety during all services performed.


II. WORK SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS


Lawn and Planting Bed Maintenance:
  • From April through November all lawn areas will be mown to the proper height to maintain optimum lawn health and appearance. We will monitor for any disease or insect infestations.
  • All necessary string trimming will be performed around any buildings or other structures such as patios, sidewalks, curbs, lamp posts, mailboxes, planting beds, etc.
  • All hard surfaces, such as driveways, walkways, patios, porches, curbs, etc., will be blown off and cleared of any debris.
  • Smooth any disturbed mulch as needed, to maintain an orderly appearance.
  • Maintain a weed-free property. As needed, an eco-friendly vinegar and liquid dish soap mixture will be applied to weeds growing from planting beds, sidewalks, curbs, etc.


Spring Clean Up:
  • Clean up all leaves and debris from planting beds, lawn areas and paved surfaces.
  • Weed beds manually and by using an eco-friendly vinegar and liquid dish soap mixture.
  • Cultivate and smooth all planting beds in preparation for a fresh application of mulch.
  • Apply a granular pre-emergent weed control to all landscape beds.
Edging & Mulching (non-taxable):
  • Edge planting beds mechanically at a depth of 2-3”
  • One application of premium dyed brown double shred mulch to maintain a depth of 2".  (Alternate colors and types of mulch available upon request).


Hybrid Organic Lawn Fertilization Program:
  • Application of lawn fertilizations are in accordance with current industry standards and the needs of the existing lawn(s). Weed and insect control will be applied with chemical-based products, due to the absence of an organic alternative. *Applications are completed under licensed supervision.


Round 1 (Early March- Early April):

  • Granular starter fertilizer to encourage root growth, thickening of turf, recovery of winter damage and early spring green-up.

Round 2 (Mid-April – Mid-May):

  • Synthetic / organic fertilizer blend
  • Pre-emergent crabgrass control
  • Broadleaf weed control

Round 3 (Late May- Mid-July):

  • Synthetic / organic fertilizer blend
  • Surface insect control and grub preventive
  • Spot treatment of broadleaf weeds, crabgrass and nutsedge

Round 4 (Mid-July- Late August):

  • Synthetic / organic fertilizer blend
  • Spot treatment of broadleaf weeds, crabgrass and nutsedge

Round 5 (October/November):

  • Synthetic / organic fertilizer blend
  • Broadleaf weed control


NOTE: All application timeframes are subject to weather and current conditions.


Shrub and Tree Care:
  • All shrubs will be trimmed twice per season to maintain a natural shape and neat appearance.
  • All trees 18’ and under will be pruned once per season to maintain shape. Any dead or diseased branches will be removed.
  • We will monitor for any disease or insect infestations.
Fall Clean Up:
  • Remove all expired vegetation, perennials, leaves and debris from the entire property twice during the fall season.


Irrigation System Maintenance:
  • Inspect for proper operation and turn system on in the Spring. If any repairs are required, we will provide a written estimate for your approval.
  • Shut down and winterize system in the Fall.


III. SUPPLEMENTAL CONDITIONS


All materials and pesticides will be applied under licensed supervision and in accordance with safe practices established by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. Only the safest and most current products will be used to maintain a healthy landscape.


The Contractor kindly requests that the Customer notify us of any pre-existing underground service lines, including but not limited to invisible fence lines, irrigation systems, phone or cable lines, etc. on the Customer’s property prior to the commencement of work.


*This Agreement was prepared to include the landscape as it exists at the time of this writing.


All material is guaranteed to be as specified. The above work will be performed in accordance with the specifications submitted and completed in a professional and workmanlike manner.


IV. TERMS AND CONDITIONS


The term of this Agreement (the "Term") will begin on the date of this Agreement and will remain in effect through either November 30th of the final year agreed upon, or until terminated by either Party. Either Party can terminate this Agreement by providing (3) days written notice.

If this Agreement is terminated by either party prior to the end of the season, the total yearly contract amount will be prorated. The Customer will be sent a final invoice or issued a credit, depending on the remaining total balance due for all services that have been completed prior to the cancellation date.


We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. For payments via credit card, a 3.5% surcharge will be added in order to cover our costs of acceptance. No surcharge is added for payments using cash, check, ACH or debit cards.


All services as part of this agreement will be billed on the first day of the month from March through December. A service charge of 1.5% or a minimum charge of $10.00 will be applied to all amounts overdue on regular statement dates, whichever amount is greater.Annual total per year will be divided into (10) equal monthly payments of $___, (plus all applicable sales tax).


COST REMAINS THE SAME FOR ALL YEARS AGREED TO; CUSTOMER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO OPT OUT OF MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT IF SERVICES ARE NOT PERFORMED IN A SATISFACTORY MANNER.
